About the Founder

Cathy Rubin

Cathy Rubin is the founder of Rover Rescue. Dedicated to helping homeless dogs since 1994, Cathy has rescued and placed numerous dogs from Los Angeles animal shelters. Sick or injured dogs were given qualified medical care and then adopted into loving homes.

Cathy was instrumental in starting a volunteer program for the Los Angeles Animal Shelters and she served as Volunteer Coordinator for the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter. She helped create the very successful mobile pet adoption program which has placed thousands of dogs from the Los Angeles City Shelters. Cathy was named Volunteer of the Year by the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter and elected Volunteer of the Year by the Los Angeles City Mayor’s office.
